Candidate Endorsements & Support
We invest in progressive candidates as well as political infrastructure projects across the region.
The West Michigan Progress PAC seeks to balance the realities of political opportunity where progressive candidates can win with supporting new and emerging voices at all levels to expand and deepen the community of leaders stepping up to help transform our region and state. We believe that access to opportunities and knowledge is paramount to creating an equitable political field and seek to support infrastructure and initiatives that provide this access to historically underrepresented people of all identities.
To be considered for endorsement and/or funding by the WMP you must, at a minimum meet the following parameters:
The majority of your work must be conducted within our geographic boundaries – Michigan’s 3rd and 4th Congressional Districts and the remainder of Kent County.
The campaign or project in question must take place within the current electoral cycle.
Your project or candidacy must align with our Theory of Change:
The West Michigan Progress PAC fights for just, representative, fair and inclusive elections; to advance critical policy issues through ballot campaigns; and to ensure that both the current and next generations of political leadership in West Michigan are progressively minded.
We recognize the need for collaborative and empathetic approaches to governing our region and endorse candidates and initiatives that strive to work together, lead with care, and fight to represent and provide access to all voices.
